TRADE SHOW MANAGEMENT
AS A MEMBER OF A SMALL MARKETING TEAM, I'VE PUT ON MANY HATS DURING THE LAST few YEARS; EVENTS MANAGER IS ONE OF THEM.
Events are essential outlets for smaller companies to gain awareness. Since joining the team, NuoDB has attended multiple large-scale trade shows, including Red Hat Summit, Oracle OpenWorld, and AWS ReInvent.
Some of our BOOTH MOCKS
At NuoDB, I plan and execute NuoDB trade show appearances - from registering as a sponsor, to creating the booth graphics, swag, and collateral, promoting our attendance via sponsored ads, and confirming shipment arrivals, hotels, and prospect dinner reservations; all the prep necessary to ensure team success.
Some think successful trade show booths just have to "look good", but from a designers perspective, it has to function well too: What messaging is going to draw an audience? What font size is needed in order for our messaging to be read from aisles away? Where can I place text and images on the panels to minimize obstruction from visitors at the booth? How can I arrange the text to avoid the panel breaks?
The work may be exhausting, but is always worth it at the end of the show. I am rejuvenated when I hear positive feedback from show attendees circling back to our booth for another visit...
"Who made your shirts? Your panels? The ebooks?" to which I can proudly respond, "I did."
